Matters related to confidential collective bargaining or grievance issues are suppressed from the minutes and generally reported only to dues-paying members except by the approval of the Executive Committee, Bargaining Chair, or the Grievant, in the case of a grievance.  Public records, on the other hand, are subject to aggressive scrutiny under Florida's "Sunshine Law," which permits any citizen to request any document that has passed through the hands or desk of a state agency or employee, excluding medical records, grades, and other legally confidential personal information.
