How does Department Steward work?
GAU represents over 4,000 Graduate and Research Assistants (GAs and RAs) across more than 100 departments. To organize effectively, we rely on Departmental Stewards to help organize the students in their respective departments and connect them with Union Leadership. We strive to have at least 1 departmental steward per department, serving as a direct liaison between leadership and the department.
