We're sorry to see you go...
If you graduate, or if you cease being a graduate assistant for any other reason (such as going on a fellowship, etc.), you will automatically be unenrolled from GAU. There is no need to unenroll if this applies to you.
If you wish to cancel your GAU membership, there are two ways to do it:
According to Florida Statute 447.303, cancellation of union membership deductions will not be reflected until the first paycheck following a 30-day wait period. For reference, this policy is also reflected in the collective bargaining agreement between GAU & UF in Article 17.2, Section C.

If you wish to cancel your GAU membership, there are two ways to do it:
- Write a letter which states that you no longer want to be a member of GAU and no longer want dues deducted from your paycheck. Include your name, UFID, address, email address, written signature, and reason for becoming a non-member. Make two copies of this letter and send one to UF Human Resources (UF Human Resources Service Center, 903 West University Avenue, Gainesville, FL 32601) and send the other to GAU (Yon Hall 224). Both letters can be sent free of charge through campus mail.
