The Executive Committee of GAU consists of the Co-Presidents, Treasurer, Coordinator, Chief Steward, and Chairs or Co-Chairs of the Standing and Select Committees. The members of the Executive Committee are Union members and voting officers as provided in Article IV and Article V of the Constitution, as well as Article III of the Bylaws.

The Executive Committee advises the Co-Presidents in the operation of the Union, aids in the administration of policies and programs, and is the body responsible for the general affairs of the Union.
